This Privacy Policy explains how Mobilecraft LLC ("Mobilecraft", "we", "us"), a company registered in Wyoming, United States, handles information in connection with the Video Compressor mobile application (the "App").
The short version: the App works offline. Your videos are compressed on your device and are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. We do not create accounts, and we do not collect information that identifies you.
All video selection, compression, and export happens locally on your device. We have no servers that receive your videos, and we never see, store, or transmit your media files, their contents, or their file names. When you grant the App access to your photo library or files, that access is used only to read the video you choose and to save the compressed result back to your device.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, or advertising identifiers. We do not use cookies or tracking pixels in the App, we do not build user profiles, and we do not sell or share personal information for advertising purposes. The App contains no third-party advertising.
To understand which features are used and to find and fix problems, we use Aptabase, a privacy-focused, open-source analytics service. Aptabase does not use device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or persistent user identifiers, and it does not fingerprint your device. The data collected is anonymous and aggregated, and it cannot be used to identify you or to link sessions back to a specific person or device.

Analytics events never include your videos, file names, file contents, or any personal information.
If you buy a subscription or another in-app purchase, the payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We never receive or store your payment card details or billing information.
We use Adapty to validate receipts and manage subscription status, so the App knows whether your purchase is active. For this purpose Adapty processes purchase and subscription data (such as transaction identifiers, product purchased, purchase and renewal dates, trial and cancellation status), an anonymous customer identifier generated for the installation, and basic technical information such as app version, platform, OS version, and country. This information is used solely to deliver and restore your purchases, not to identify you or to advertise to you. Adapty acts as our processor and its handling of this data is also governed by its own privacy policy.
If you request a refund for an in-app purchase, we may provide Apple with information about that purchase so it can assess the request. This may include time since installation, total app usage time, an anonymous account identifier, whether the purchase was consumed, whether it included a trial period, and the amounts spent and refunded.
If you contact us for support, we receive whatever you choose to send us, such as your email address and the contents of your message. We use it only to answer you, and we delete support correspondence once it is no longer needed.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we do not collect personal information from anyone, we do not knowingly hold any data about children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Anonymous analytics data is retained in aggregated form for as long as it is useful for product decisions. Subscription records are retained for as long as needed to provide your purchase and to meet tax, accounting, and legal obligations. Because analytics data is anonymous, it cannot be traced back to you or deleted on an individual basis.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, to object to processing, to withdraw consent, and to receive a copy of your data. Since the App does not collect identifying information, we usually hold nothing that we can link to you. You can still contact us at [email protected] to exercise these rights, and we will respond as required by applicable law. You can also stop all analytics collection at any time by uninstalling the App, and manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Play Store account settings.
Because your videos never leave your device, they are protected by your device's own security, such as your passcode and the operating system's file protections. The limited anonymous data described above is transmitted over encrypted connections.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Please review it periodically. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
